I just can't stay away, i love this town. back in Chiang-mai for a couple of days before heading off to Laos, didn't mean to come back but just found myself on the bus and here I am. Had a sweet time in Pai, really filled my days-hot springs in the morning, out on the bike all day, nice social scene, not crazy but enough to keep me interested into the wee hours. But the bike.... After years of fear and and trepidation around motorcycles, I finally decided to get on and go for it. I tel you now, I could happily see the rest of the world on two wheels, next stage on my travels, South America on an Enfield Bullet, A La 'The Motorcycle Diaries'. Went out with my friend Nick to visit some amazing cave complexes, over 100 miles round trip, winding through the wild northern Thai hills, absolutely stunning. Crazy roads, half brand-spanking-new motorway, the other unfinished dirt tracks. Only a wee scrape on my elbow and knee, but no pain, no gain. Also met a friend of some friends from Edinburgh, great to get all nostalgic about auld reeky, and whilst I can't say I wish I was there, I still think of it and its people often and fondly. Right, beautiful sunny day, off to test my nerve and will-power at the Sunday market, "just looking today, Krap-kun-Kup".
