So, back in goa for new year, Silly to think I would do anythung else. It's a little bubble of holiday paradise in this crazy country, although i would be lieing if I said i was having a hard time. After a lovely couple of days in Mysore a nipped down to north Kerela for a few days with Colin Hamilton, a pepper supplier to Valvona's. from what i knew of him, I wasn't expecting to rough it, but nor was I ready for the pure luxery of the place. Set in a forty acre plantation, the house was amazing, the food incredible and surroundings stunning. My hosts, who live in India for 5 months of the year,where generous and friendly, Although it took a couple of days to shake the accent that I had aquired from them. From there to Shrirangapatna for Christmas with the Bangalore girls, but whilst waiting for them I got drunk in a back ally bar with some local Christians, glade to see they celibrate the birth of our lord Jesus in the same way we do back home. We stayed with a western family who have been living in India for forty years and who invite all the westerners studying yoga in Mysore, great fun all round. And back here to the beach. I have caught up with a friend from Hampi and there is a good crowd for tonight, but i will be taking care due to a nasty gash in the back of my head- first night back here, sitting on a broken chair, which collapesed under my curry stuufed wieght. A really comedy moment, all fun and games until somebody gets hurt. I caught my head on a nail head. But, thanks to a large medical pack that I have been grudgingly hauling about and some kind hands i was quickly patched up. Had to endure a few days of stupid comments from stupid people, but I am sure I have noticed more and more folk with white headbands cruising about the beach, trend setter all the way.
