Howdy folks!!! We've had a splendid day at the beach, snorkelling and sunbathing travelling between desert islands. It's a hard life! The boat which was our main mode of transport was quite possibly the most precarious boat we've been on. Wettest and bumpiest boat ride yet but it was an adventure! As we hopped in the boat one of the pieces of wood holding the canopy up just collapsed. It made us feel super calm! After about 40mins we jumped off the boat for a spot of snorkelling, mildly successful although I thought I saw a bright pink fish until Flo kindly pointed out it was a fishing hook....i think I need an eye test! We then headed to the island for sunbathing and a beach barbecue which was yummy and spent the afternoon trying to catch a tan. Unfortunately the sun was a little to strong for everyone, Flo and I have got off mildly with sunburn in comparison to some of the others who are quite literally beet roots. I am not exaggerating despite the fact that its me(Tess)!! We headed for dinner in the evening by the beach which was tasty, chicken kebabs with rice and salad (so healthy) but there were some Cambodian children selling fireworks which were lethal. 2 year olds were setting off fireworks and we lived in constant dread of losing our lives....now we've just packed up ready to set off bright and early on the 8hour bus journey to Vietnam. We're slightly dreading the border crossing. We've had a slight mishap at our accommodation also. Firstly we're on the 6th floor (no lift, life's smashing) and our keys didn't work. 3 trips up and down later we were in only for the balcony door not to work. Then last night we turned on the air con thinking we'd be hot, oh how wrong we were. I woke up shivering, tried to work out the air con, failed so put on my fleece and hoodie from the dark depths of my bad. Flo just grabbed a towel thinking that would be enough....rookie error! Apart from these minor mishaps life is fabulous. Our tan is coming along (with a little burn) and we're getting used to the food and the copious amounts of rice!! Next update will be from Vietnam :) :)
