Hey!!!!

We are safely in America- LA!!!! We arrived in LA at about 2pm on Sunday having left Nadi at 10.50pm Sunday night!!! Weird!!! We gained almost a day as went over the date line. Teresa is however suffering from severe jet lag and has not slept well for 72 hours!! Lindsay is however a lot better.

We settled into our hotel sunday night (which is very nice and opposite Disney Land). We found a nice restaurant and ordered a massive tea- however our stomachs seem to have shrunk having been in Fiji for over a week- as we couldn't actually eat much!!! If you want to lose weight quick go to Fiji!!! Lindsay is now a size 10 and Teresa a size 0!!! Joking!

Yesterday we were up early to join a tour. We visited Beverly Hills, saw the famous Pretty Woman hotel and all the shops where the rich and famous shop. Unfortunately no one famous was about! We then did a sight seeing tour and saw where some famous people live (postcode 90210) before visiting Hollywood Boulevard where all the stars on the pavement are. We also saw the Kodak theatre where they have the Oscars and other events. We were also able to view the famous Hollywood sign!!!! Which was a bit strange- as you see it so much on tv.

After the sight-seeing tour- we visited Universal studios where we went on loads of rides, got soaked, scared and even did a train ride around the entire park which includes working film/studio sets!!! We saw them filming desperate housewifes and the sets for Jurrasic Park, Fast and Furious, Indianna Jones, etc. Too many to mention!!

Today we are up early- as we are going across the road to Disney Land!!! Tonight we have a Contiki Pre-departure meeting- and then tomorrow we join our third and final Contiki tour!!!

We have only been in LA for 40 hours- but have already seen the bomb squad, an arrest at the airport, and an accident at Universal studios on the escalator (nasty). Had better be off.
