Today was my last day in Chiang Mai so I wanted to make the most of it! Again I set off into this square, seeing as I was a bit of a pro at all this exploring now and went straight for the cultural and arts museum. I know, sounds mind blowing! However, it wasn't as bad as it sounds and it gave a really good background into the history of Chiang Mai and how it all began! Today I didn't have a plan. I had a map and my freedom! There was this square surrounded by a river that was basically made up of smaller squares, loads of temples and not many traffic lights! On my little wander I come across a museum, actually I found three, countless temples and a really pretty English looking park! I sat down to rest my tired little feet, ended up having a slight nap and waking up a little red around the edges.. It was time to head back! ...

Basically today turned out to be miles better than yesterday and probably one of the most amazing days of my life so far! I'm taking a risk and thinking there will probably be a few more!! Also going to give you a heads up and say this will take you a good 10 minutes to read.. So first stop was to a local market where we picked up breakfast for both us and the elephants we were about to meet! I ended up getting sticky rice with custard wrapped in a banana leaf....

Well today's blog post isn't going to be all that interesting so don't think I will be offended if you skip it. Not that I would know.. Go ahead! So I made the 10 hour journey, by bus, to Northern Thailand to a city called Chiang Mai. I genuinely can not say it was a bad journey especially after having endured 5 sleeper trains through China!
