Day 1....we walked and walked and walked some more. Saw many sights e.g. kite flying day at the parkland beside marina, Fort Mason, Fisherman's Wharf, cable cars etc. Food sampled today included Taco Bell (where we got free drinks and a discount - thanks teachers), Ghiraredelli's chocolate and Boudin's Bakery for Clam Chouder. We are looking forward to Golden Gate, Muir Woods and Sausilito tomorrow.

A great day with many highlights including: 1. 1000+ year old redwoods 2. Lara and Maddy F getting lost at the gift shop; exiting right instead of left 3. Sausalito - very pretty 4. Golden Gate Bridge 5. Mrs Doubtfire's house 6. Shopping in Market Street 7. Maddy F learning the value of a quarter 8. Maddy M's birthday dinner at Bubba Gumps (free drinks again) 9.
