When I woke up this morning, I had no Idea of where to go. As I was web surfing activities I found that there was a doughnut plant in the capital, Seoul. It said that there was a variety of flavors, but that was definitely an understatement! There were flavors from Valrhona Chocolate to Crème Brulee. I tried all the samples. Personally my favorite was Banana Pecan. When I was done sampling, I tried to buy a doughnut, but the cashier stared at my money awkwardly. My translator, Chuck, explained to me that I needed some "wons." He showed me the symbol, and it looked somewhat like this "₩." After we had exchanged our money, we decided to go to a museum. We visited the relaxing Samsung Museum of Art in Leeum. We took a tour and looked at the art and statues. The art of South Korea is very elegant and fluid. Everything was beautiful. Even the terracotta style soldiers were amazingly beautiful. We learned that the reason the art is so beautiful is because the literacy rate is so high. It is about 98%! After a while we went to their small café, and it was delicious. After our short lunch we decided to go back to the hotel and relax. The hotel was called Yim's House, and we got it at an amazing 21,000 wons (that is equal to about 20 American dollars)!!! The only problem was its quality. It was very grimy. So I lay here in my gritty hotel bed hoping tomorrow we get a better hotel soon.
