So it's finally our second day on our adventure here in Indonesia. We are now at the Sari Pan Pacific Hotel. We just checked in and earlier today we had so much fun! After our short plane ride here, we went to our tourist attraction for the day. We actually went to the National Monument (Monas). It was GREAT! I thoroughly enjoyed going to see one of Indonesia's prized monuments. Next, we went to the warung pasta restaurant. I had the penne tuna, and I really liked it! Soon after we had to go to exchange the rest of our American dollars for the Indonesian rupian. On the way back we saw many people dressed in the traditional native attire which is the kebaya, batik, and songket. Most of the people here speak either English or Dutch. The literacy rate is 90.4% which is pretty good! The population is 242,968,342. I truly enjoyed today and I had a lot of fun!
