Well at the end of the steepest hill in the world there was a cemetery, Daniel was willing to take his pitch there and then, on one condition I got him a good one in the shade!!!! Just around the corner I spotted what appeared to be a hotel, loitering around the door the owner came to my assistance - in my best French I asked if it was possible to have drinks only - to which she replied "you want a fish????". Ok so maybe I have an accent. And boisson and poisson sounded similar !!! Again the accent must have been a problem. I ordered a cidre and got a citron (pure squeezed lemon with a jug of water). Quite refreshing after that bike ride though . We decided that since this lady was so helpful we would try our luck with some food even though it was 2.15. And the chance was that service was over. She informed us that they had finished until this evening but she would make us some ham ommelettes or pasta, me and paul were happy with omelette and I thought the kids were getting pasta. But no it was pate. Again a French word that sounds very similar !!!!
