Day 4 Gilgandra - MacCullochs Range Rest Area #1052 (536km – 8hrs 15mins)

Sadly it was time to say our goodbyes and hit the road. We had such a lovely time with the Weston's and it was a perfect way to start our adventure.
Today was just a driving day towards Broken Hill. We left Gilgandra at 8:15am and had to stop twice on our way into town for the sheep to get off the road and then the cows. Josh loved it!
We fueled the car on the highway and then kept driving. We saw a fox, emu's, pelican's, sheep, cows, goats and eagles along the way. We also stopped for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and fuel. After 8 1/4 hours it was time to call it a day so we stopped at MacCullochs Range Rest Area (#1052) which is 55km E of Wilcannia.
It is a beautiful spot so while I cooked dinner Rog & Josh got a campfire going. We had a lovely dinner outside around the fire while watching a beautiful sunset and then a full moon rising.
Then sadly it was time to put the fire out and adjourn to the caravan to clean up and to watch a movie.
