Hi everyone from tropical townsville!

With just a week left in Oz, Gar and me made our way from cairns to my uncles place on friday morning! Cousins Ben and Sam met us there too which was great! We went swimming at a local outdoor pool and had a BBQ before just chilling out and Neil cooked us dinner friday night which was tops!

Saturday we sorted out ferry bookings for Magnetic island and just relaxed in the pool before going out and sampling a saturday night in townsville....blokes outnumber women 3 to 1 so sam and gar were really happy! Just got smashed and drank a bottle of JD between us at the end of the night!

Sunday we got the ferry to Mag Island (just the 4 boys) where we drove around the island to different bays and saw quite a lot of the place which was tidy enough but a bit quiet! Checked into Base Backpackers and just got on the beers from 3pm...resulting in the worst hangover ive ever had monday morning!

Monday then and sam had to get an early ferry as his flight back to Byron was at lunchtime, so the 3 of us drove upto a walk which would lead us upto a fort lookout over the island...however, on the way up an absolute mother of a storm hit us - never seen rain like it - so we couldnt see a thing at the top of the fort! never mind, had a laugh getting soaked!

Tuesday we went fishing in a creek in neils boat, after 3 hours only 2 fish caught...somehow by Gar n Me!HAHA! Ben was not happy!

Yesterday we had lunch in the Queensland Cowboys (rugby league team) club house before driving about an hour into the hills and went swimming in the creek which was freezing but again good fun!

Ben flew back to sydney today, and we've just spent a few hours uploading and emailing before lunch with neil in a mo!

Heading back to brisbane in the morning for our last weekend...going shopping in the afternoon and the to Australia Zoo (steve irwins place) on saturday which should be cool! Fly home sunday getting to heathrow monday morning....See you all very soon!
