Dubai:
So my flight from Paris to Dubai was delayed by three and a half hours! Which meant I missed my flight from Dubai to Sydney. All other flights that day were fully booked which meant I had to stay over night. After finally getting all the drama sorted and getting out of the airport haha (5 hours later) I was happy. All accommodation and meals were fully paid for so I was loving life. I really wasn't expecting to walk into a sauna when I walked outside! It was around 41 degrees, crazy hot! Haha. I quickly booked a night tour so I could make the most of the short time I had in Dubai. The tour was great. It went to most of the main attractions. Some of these included: Jumeirah mosque, Burj al Arab, Burj Khalifia which is the tallest man made structure in the world. We also went to a small shopping centre which were selling scarves, gold and spices. We went to the Jumeirah beach and also went within one of the Palm islands. The highlight of my tour was definitely the water fountain showcase. This was held at the Dubai fountains and the fountains and lights were set in sync with music, nothing like I've ever seen before. To finish off the tour we went to one of the many gold jewellery shops in Dubai. I couldn't leave the gold capital of the world without a bit of bling right? :p overall the city was gorgeous. So well planned, clean and safe. I definitely could have stayed a couple more days. I'll be coming back for sure! I need to go to the water park (one of the best in the world!) haha. I enjoyed a traditional Arabic buffet at the hotel before heading to bed. I did have more luck with my flights this morning and am almost home after stopping of at Bangkok for a short stopover. Definitely glad a got to spend a short time in Dubai even though it was unexpected haha after all another adventure.
