We went along the icefields parkway from banff to jasper. It is known as the most scenic drive in thr world, iI parallels the continental devide, traverses the canadian rockies landscape. We did a guided tour of the athabasca glacier which was amazing, we had to wear special spikes on our shoes, we were hiking for a few hours, learned about how the glacier was formed and how it is retreating each year.
From there we went to jasper national park. Our first day in the park we were suposed to hike around maligne lake but itwas raibing really hard so we drove to meligne canyon and had a short hike there. We drove around for a few hours bear spotting but failed to see any ;( so we admitted defeat and went to miette hotsprings which were great.
The next day Jo and I went for a 10km hike around the lakes and rivers and I to town. Scenery was amazing. That night we went to a rodeo in town which was really fun.
