First stop was Kiama to see the blowhole in NSW.
Then we continued on to Jervis bay where we stopped for the night. We woke up to find ourselves right next to the beach and the sea which was a lovely view.
We had a walk about and then continued on to Batemans bay, where we stopped and picked up some supplies. We saw our first kangaroo in the wild which hopped in front of our van whilst we were driving - amazing and scary especially as we don't have a bull bar!
We started to panic abit at this point as we had said we would b there wednesday night and were still quite far away, so continued on to Philip Island where we had to move straight on as couldn't find anywhere to sleep.
By thsi point we were nearly in melbounre so spent the day having a look about before heading to cockatoo.
We arrived there and the Van Varks seemed nice and showed us where we were staying. We got up the next morning where we shovelled dirt, and mixed horse feed and stuff like that and finished at around 6pm which was a half day apparently. We were abit weary that we would be expected to do full days - Jonny suggested running away in the middle of the night but I felt too bad!
The next day we started work around half 8 shovelling soil etc. We worked till 3:30 and then were told we would be then felling trees, Jonny was shown how to use a chainsaw and was asked if he had put hs woofing number in the book. We said no and were asked to purchase one - We decided we didn't want to as we didn't really want to stay so had to leave - we quickly threw all of our stuff in the van and belted out of there!
Ended up in Philip Island for the night in the caravan park, but were too late to see the penguins. We contacted a lady who advisded we could go and woof there where we didn't have to have a woofing number so decided we would go there the following day after we had been to melbourne as we broke the laptop charger.
