After a 4 hour bus ride (without a loo) we arrived in a very noisy La Paz. As we approached La Paz it is built in a valley (like Bath) and it was quite a site. It seemed as though the carnival celebrations had followed us from Puno. We had a day off. Wondered the markets. Had a chicken salad sandwich for lunch but there was more celery in it than anything else! I wanted to buy a ukalalie but they only had mandolins. We woke early (which was hard after last night) and packed. We for a 3 hour bus across the boarder from Puno to Copacobana (Barry Manilow song!) To cross the boarder we had to walk the 300 meters on foot after changing our money into bolivianos, we got our Peru exit stamp then our Bolivia stamp. However, for each of these we had to queue...and the bus would only wait 25 mins!! Do it was pretty rushed! If we missed the bus it would have been a 1 hour walk to Copa...

Today will be my last entry for Peru! :( We woke at 6.30 and enjoyed some lovely pancakes and strawberry jam for breakfast with our family.
