Today around noon local time I arrived to Hoi An after about 33 km ride from Danang. Much of the ride was along China Beach. Yesterday I rode over Hoi Van pass, which is about 500 m high pass between Hue and Danag. My rear tyre exploded again yesterday afternoon and now I am using the third outer tire in the rear. I have now stayed two nights here in Hue. Tomorrow morning I plan to continue south towards Danang. I plan to stop overnight in between Hue and Danang as there is a almost 500 m high pass couple of tens of kilometers before Danang to climb. I am finally in Hue. I have to admit that I should have had a rest day between Hanoi and Hue, but as there was not so interesting places to stop at suitable locations, I continued cycling. Last two days were the hottest so far and there was also some headwind, especially yesterday. So far I have had a shower, lunch and a 60 minute massage, which was very good for aching muscles. I am now suffering flu, but despite that I am again 200 km furter south. Had to replace rear tire today. Hotel is a hour-hotel but Has WLAN. (Actually was the only hotel in the town, but had also a decent restaurant.) Continuation to yestergay's entry.
