Next stop was Horn Rapids Campground, which said it did not take reservations and was first-come-first-serve. But when we arrived, there was a giant sign in the road saying a church group had reserved the entire place! Thankfully, they were kind enough to let us stay there anyway, and even brought over little welcome bags for the girls with toys and flashlights. Bugs were bad here and we got to try out our mesh bug suits!

Well, we are one week into our trip and just now getting to writing the blog! We started off behind the ball, leaving Kelowna much later than hoped and then spending two hours at the border to import the travel trailer. Nevertheless, we safely arrived at Larabee State Park which was beautiful and not too hot and had trains go past all night long (but we slept through them).

Last stop before Canada! We are so happy to be back in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We went beachcombing and saw oysters, clams, millions of mini-crabs, a couple of much larger crabs, and a bunny. One kind of clam (the Rough Piddock) shoots up water from between the rocks on the beach, so it looks like dozens of little water fountains squirting randomly. Amazing!

We made it to just outside of Spokane! And this one had a lake, so we were able to get a bit of a refresh. One more sleep to go after this site...
