Today we took all our stinky wet clothes which we'd attempted to wash and dry (in a rain forest. error.) to the laundrette then headed down to the beach. there are loads of nice posh hotels on the beach with sun loungers, we were able to hire one for 50p each for the day. I'm sure by the end of our trip we'll be on the sand! we're being rather flash with our cash this first week!! We spent the day on the beach until it got really windy so headed back to the hote...

Our second morning at elephant hills began with a beautifully cooked breakfast at 8:00am, much to Jason (the kiwis) dismay! we all had to pack our bags and board the bus that would then take us to the rainforest camp! on the way we stopped at a very stinky Thai market, we had 20 minutes here, ill admit 5 would he been plenty, watching a Thai lady chop up live fish on a stall next to knitwear wasn't exactly our cup of tea! although there were yummy pancake things...

Soooo we were going to make a note of our expenditure however after Saturday night, no can do! Our chosen place for dinner had a compulsory deal on beer which we obviously thought was a great idea. After dinner we wondered up the street and found a travel agents so booked our overnight bus for the following evening, we also came across an amazing jewellery shop called Pink p**** As we wondered back towards our hotel we thought we ought to have another foot mas...

Got rudely awoken by housekeeping...at 1pm!!! Our hotel is on the Main Street so easy to pop out for some breakfast/lunch! we spent the day at our roof top pool. what a beautiful skyline. NAAAT!!! SPOT THE NEWBIES!! when we got up to the pool I asked the pool man if there were any more sun beds, he looked around noticing, as I had just done myself, that there were no spare ones so shouted for everyone to get out of the pool and on to there sun beds....how embarr...

WE MADE IT!! We tried to play it cool on the plane after spying our seats with ample leg room but we gave the game away with plenty if oooo's, Aaaaah's and gasps at our own tv screen with a massive selection of films and a menu for dinner! Having found our hotel (eventually) we headed out for food and hydration. 2beers, yummy rice and 1half hour foot massage later we are back in our room for bed.
