After arriving late afternoon in Luang Prabang first call of duty was to get the Laundry in so it would be ready for collecting the next day and i was desperate for clean clothes!! After this i chilled out for a bit before meeting up with some of the group and heading out for dinner. The next day we meet our local guide who took us to Kuang Si Falls. Its about 40 minute drive out of town but i was enjoying the views along the way - local people walking with baskets over there shoulders like a pair of weights, kids on bicycles and motor bikes whizzing by - its great they dont wear helmets and pile as may as possible on to one bike including young children and babies!! Once we reached the entrance to the waterfall before heading up to it we visited a bear recuse centre and we were just in time for feeding - they head the food in the enclosure so the bears still have to hunt for it - they were very cute looking. We also saw a rescued tiger who is unable to be released back into the wild so the workers take care of him as well. The water fall was beautiful and the water clean!! We sat and had lunch then chilled for a while before heading in to the water for a swim. Once we arrived back in the town we visited the Ethnology Museum which was interesting. That evening we all headed out to a nice resturant for dinner. After i wondered through the night market. The next morning we did a tour of some local villages which was really interesting. First we visited a blacksmith then saw how laolao was need (which is there local spirit- tasted it - nearly blow my head off!!) After this we went to another village and saw the ladies spinning and making various intems of clothes such as scaffs. We also saw a lady making paper!! After taking some good photos and trying to chat with the local people we headed back to town. I then headed off for a traditional laos message oh it was heaven!! That evening we went to a traditional laos resturant id like to say the food was great which some of it was but most of it was too spicy for me but the others say it was delicous!! The next morning it was an early start so we could see the Monks collecting their daily food intake from the local people who line up on the streets and as the Monks go pass pop some in to their pot. After this it was time to say bye to Luang Prabang and head to the airport for our flight to Vientiane (Capital of Laos).
Luang Pranbang has been one of my favorite place the local people were so friendly and there wasn't to much hussel and bussel!!
