After a short flight from Phnom Penh we arrived in Siem Reap. Once settled into the hotel we jumped in some tuktuk's and took a tour of the town. After a delicious lunch at a resturant in town i headed off to the childrens hospital to Donate blood. The hospital i visited is run by a Swiss guy who has also opened 3 more hospitals in Cambodia which are all ran by fundraising and provide free health care to children under 16.
The next day was an early start so we could watch the sunrise over Angkor Wat. After sunrise we took a tour around the ruins of the temple which was huge!! On our way back to the hotel we stopped off at the landmine Museum which was very interesting. Because it was so hot so chilled at the hotel until it cooled down then headed out again about 3 -4pm to visit some more temples. The following day was not such an early start thank goodness, but we still had lots more temples to visit!! Was getting a little tired of temple touring however i went along and glad i did as they had saved the best till last - TombRider Temple. I personally haven't seen the film but im sure some of you have as had many of the other tourists it was packed!! I enjoyed it so much though as it was amazing to see how the trees and grown through the structure of the temple ruins. Check out my photo's!!! It was another hot day so we were back at the hotel by lunchtime and just chilled out until later in the afternoon. Next stop - Childrens orphanage. Their so adorable, all 33 of them. They put on a show for us of singing and dancing which was brilliant and they also got us involved with the dancing which was amusing. After we stayed for a while and played football ect with them.
In the evening, last one in Cambodia before heading back to Bangkok i decided to hit the night market!! After buying a few bits and bobs the weather changed and suddenly it was raining cats and dogs so i headed back to the hotel. I then spent the rest of the evening trying to fit everything into my backpack!!
