The huge Hotel you saw Glacier NP is a Lodge and Marty worked there in the summer of 1985...a gorgeous place.

Crossed into Oregon on highway 82 and Corps Camped along the Columbia river at Umatilla....followed the south side to a camp east of Portland...visited the Multinomah Falls. Visited the Rose Testing Gardens in the Botanical park. Followed hwy 84 to Astoria..spent the night at a Safeway Supermarket on the river bank and listened to Seals Barking all night. Next day turned south to Cannon Beach and took highway 101 all the way to the California Redwood Forest...amazing.
Richard is still in Texas and Marty is doing great....sold 2 houses while hooked up to Monitors in the hosp. His heart condition is Hereditary..just 2 weeks ago his Mum had an Aneurism in her Aorta.

Marty had a serious heart attack Sunday morning....one Artery 100% blocked and two 85% blocked...Stent successfully inplanted. Richard drove to Texas to be with him...Marty is in good spirits and glad to see his Dad. I'm home holding down the Fort.
