This morning we were picked up at 07.30am outside the hostel by the Kiwi bus. We then drove for about an hour before stopping at Lake Matheson near the town of the Fox Glacier. The whole point of leaving early was to get the perfect mirror reflection of Mount Cook but unfortunately it was really misty so we couldn't see anything. We did the short walk before going to the café for breakfast.

Next stop after another hour was to the Haast river which was totally gorgeous we got off to take lots of pictures and crossed over the bridge at the gates of Haast and into the Mount Aspiring National Park. Before arriving in Wanaka we stopped at Lake Hawea which again was absolutely stunning there is so much lovely scenery in New Zealand you have to see it to believe it.

We arrived into Wanaka around 3pm we checked in, used the internet and then read our books for a bit, I had a sleep (we can't cope with all this partying!!). Tonight we had dinner in the bar and then retired to bed very early and a totally alcohol free night!!!

This morning after a good lay in we felt very refreshed and headed down to the lake to have a look. Since it was such a lovely day we had a few cokes in the sun at one of the bars and then headed back to the hostel to get our bikinis on and our books. The rest of the afternoon was spent by the lake sunbathing, swimming and reading and before we knew it, it was 7pm. Doesn't time fly when you having fun!!!

Once back at the hostel we had a quick shower and change before going to the bar downstairs for a BBQ and a few drinks.
