Jackman Travels
Okay, so that title's a bit wrong as we're not packed, don't have foreign currency and still have a big list of things to do, but mentally we are set.
We had an utterly amazing day on Saturday at Dulwich College. Thanks to all of you who joined us and helped make it so special.
There are a couple of photos on this page (thanks, Jennie) and you can see a few snaps which Gareth took on our camera if you follow THIS LINK.We'll try to link to some more as we get them (including the official ones)... and if you have any good photos from the day, please share them with us.
After the wedding, we stayed in a WONDERFUL hotel in the City (the Threadneedles Hotel - I don't suppose we need to keep it secret after the event!) where they'd upgraded us and decorated the room with rose petals etc, (woke up to the best bacon EVER) and had a lovely Sunday wandering by the Thames in the sunshine and went for lunch at Village East. Still the best restaurant in London. And not just because they gave us complimentary champagne when they heard we'd just got married - seriously, 4 and a half months of people giving us free stuff because we're married might go to our heads...
And now we're getting set for the off.

Bob Jackman What a wedding! A travel blog, no less - WOW! Saturday 10 October 2009 will live long in my memory as a very special and happy day. I look forward to following you both online on your trip of a lifetime. Love, Dad.
ghtrainer More Pics Hi both - Bec and I had a fantastic time - totally awesome!!! Can't wait to catch-up on your travels over the next few months... take care and enjoy!!! I have put a stack of pics and one or two silly vids on my Mobile Me Gallery at: http://gallery.me.com/ghtrainer/100096. You can download from here and/or add more if you fancy... just use the buttons. Lots of love G&B.
davidwaddell Aaaaah... glad to hear the old upgrade trick worked a treat. Be shameless about its use. Mention that you're on honeymoon everywhere you go and it's usually good for at least a free bottle of wine. Except in Japan. They seem to have no concept of the expectation of free stuff on the part of the bride a groom but are nonetheless very happy for you. Safe flight! D, K & L xxx
sisterjackman Rio Glad to hear from Mum and Dad that all is well on phase one of your big adventure. Sounded like upgrades weren't really on the cards at the hostel...! Time for that later. Am sure you will be jumping to see your wedding photos by now and not an internet cafe in sight! Missing you and looking forward to you getting on line (but don't let it take over your trip......). Lots of love Sarah xx PS Callum made pumpkin soup at Kindergarten today. (You try getting that home in an open cup.)
Bob Jackman South America update To keep everyone updated ............ S & A have not found an Internet connection to update their blog yet but are doing fine. On Ilha Grande for 2 more days before overnight bus to Sao Paolo and then to Iguassu Falls. Weather warm; was cloudy at first but now better.
joyceandken What excitement! Your Wedding was absolutely brill and we really enjoyed being there. You certainly appear to be having a wonderful time on your Honeymoon and I am really enjoying being able to see where you are. Lots and lots of luck from us both Joycie and Kenny
