I am already very impressed with this place! Wow, the start of my 7hours in Singapore and i have already been offered free tiolet seat sanitary wipes, a foot massager, free magazine, free shuttle bus from the airport,free sky train, a free city tour, free internet- all as standard. Im amazed. There is also a swimming pool and a spa here- heathrow...call yourself an airport!off to collect my bags!

So I took the free shuttle bus into town for a couple of hours of exploring before my flight. Turns out they drop off at a shopping complex! Hmmm Suspicious. With only a couple of hours i didnt want to get lost so I managed to wander round the market for a bit! Then to my great surprise I  spotted Topshop from across the street.!Yes... Topshop! and Topman! And Accessorize!! Well....I blame the fact that I have spent the last 7 weeks having to haggle/barter and argue my way to a suitable price. This is very draining. In Topshop the prices are fixed! I even found some of the clothes I have in my wardrobe at home. Ok, so I spent some money and rather a long time in the shop...but I had to!!! All the clothes in Asia are for tiny asian people and Jo so it was needed!. Ok...so I didn't see a great deal of Singapore but ... it was Topshop and I havn't seen one of those for ages!!!!!

I also forgot to mention that at the airport they have big bowls of sweets everywhere- for free.... I also got a free pen and two free refreshment vouchers!!! So yeah Singapore is great! 

In Cairns now- having a bit of a culture shock. This place seems asleep. There is no hustle and bustle and activity- as yet. I have only just arrived. Everybody speaks english and there is no hunting around trying to work stuff out for yourself. DiscoverEd this at the airport. You just have to ask - simple. Last time I was here was 10years ago... makes me sound old! Will check in and sleep.....
