First stop after settling into our bnb at stoke newington was venturing into Hyde park. John had never seen a squirrel so feeding a furry English critter was on his list! I remembered where there ancestors were 20 years ago, and as expected, there great grand kids were there to greet us...

Amazing drive throught Fort William, the locks, Neptunes Staircase, Loch Ness and on to Inverness.

Delicious bangers and mash at a small Newbury pub after we successfully navigated our way out of london. We had to track down a Tescos where we bought bed linen for the campervan. A very cold night at oakey farm caravan park. Had hoped to visit Highclere castle (Downton abbey) but the castle and grounds were closed... Perhaps for filming??? I'm sure the crew wouldn't appreciate two Aussies tramping in the background

From the moment we landed I knew I was going to enjoy this country. The first icelandic person said "just hop on the bus which has a moustache!" We were staying at the Foss baron in the center of reykjavik which was ideal for our tours and they do a very yummy asparagus soup (two nights in a row is enough). Next day blue lagoon... Yee ha... It did not disappoint!
