Sad.... No more Dunkin Donuts till Spain. But we bought a pound bag of ground coffee so i hope ill make it.
Dresden was nice. We stayed at Hostel Louise 20. It was nice with a restuarant under it. We had one other guy in our room, Matias. He was there looking for a place to live while he went to school for chemical engineering. We went out with him for a little bit. People in Dresden sit on their stoops and have a drink. You can drink on the streets in most places so far. Then we went dancing. Guys here love to dance. At first it was weird to see mostly guys dancing on the dance floor, but its just their culture. We did see the sun start to rise, but the sun rises at 4 am so that ok. :-) The next day we explored the downtown area. (you know all the castles and churches and walls), then headed to Praque.
Praque was um... interesting. Not my first choice for favorite city (Edinburgh is still winning) First of all we got completely lost trying to find the Hostel. Not fun walking around with our packs on and no one would help us. They were not very friendly. I swear we love each other everyday except on travel days. Haha. We can never agree on where we are going or how to get there. We finally made it to the Hostel. There were alot of Holiday Tour buses and most of the people were 18-21. I feel old.
They next day we went on "The Ultimate Tour." We saw all of Prague on foot, boat and tram. It was okay, but i had trouble understanding the tour guide. Then after, we went to a Hockey bar. The server there was the best we've had. Service is very slow everywhere and they don't check on you or ask if you want another drink. Most places you don't tip so they don't have to work for it. And also Europeans seem to be able to relax and take more time. Maybe we should try to learn something.
After, we went on a Ghost Tour. It was the worst tour ive ever been on. It was horrible stories and even though we went on the English Speaking Tour, he didnt speak English (back to the language thing, I promise I know we cant expect people to know English). And he would have some guy dressed up jump out from places. They same guy over and over. Thank god it came free with our tour.
Steoh and I went to an Irish pub after and met a really nice guy from Scotland. He was there for a Stag party, but was home sick. Now on the train to Vienna. Long train about 5 hours, but our chairs fold flat so we napped for awhile.
........................
Back to the Language thing. I haven't met a European who only knows one language. Most people know 2-3 and English is usually a requirment. It's really sad that we only know one language even though we have to take it in school, we are never required to speak it fluently. They have a joke here that says: 2 languages= bilingual, 3 lanuages=trilingual, 1 language- American. Really funny, but it shouldn't be.

Fact of the Day: For you from my home town, Cava in Czech means coffee.
Sad fact of the Day: I lost a shoe. My sneakers were attached to the outside of my pack and while walking Steph noticed i only have one. I lost a sock in the dryer at the beginning of the trip. So i think the shoe and sock were dating and the shoe was so devastated over the loss of the sock, he ended it. At least they are together in Feet land now. Ive decided to keep the one shoe on my pack to confuse people, and if they ask Kayleen will tell them I'm learning to count and haven't made it past one yet.
Oh and Happy Fathers Day!!

Danielle Susan, I've been trying to keep up as much as possible and reading this entry cracked me up lol. Good old Cava maybe that's why I can't live without coffee lol. I'm so envious of ur journey and each of ur unique experiences ;) wish I was there for even just one day. Although getting lost is not my thing so I'd b the annoying one getting mad that we were lost. I love u and miss u tons. Stay safe and keep enjoying urself xoxo
Jacquie Susan, Loved the shoe sock love story. I have enjoyed seeing the world through your eyes. You have a talent for telling a tale. Pat and I are enjoying ourselves at Foxwoods. We are on our way to have a taste of the spirits at David Burke. will toast you. Love and stay safe.
