After the best night sleep I have had on a night bus we arrived bright and early in Ho Chi Minh City AKA HCMC and Saigon. After the usual patchy night's sleep on the bus we were dropped off in the middle of Nha Trang at 6.30am. It was early but the sun was already up and the streets were busy. Admittedly much of the crowd was hotel and hostel touts or taxi drivers but still it was incredibly busy for the hour. We grabbed our bags out of the bus, moved away from the crowd rejecting all offers and got our bearings. We then headed towards an earlier earmarked hotel to try our luck....

We arrived in Hue at 8.30am to a torrential thunderstorm. Not good. The bus journey was an experience and one I know we will have to repeat due to its relative inexpensiveness however I found it frustrating that you could neither sit fully upright nor lie fully horizontal. We were woken up very early this morning by the noise of scooters horn's, people shouting and people cooking.
