Well its been a long time since I updated so get ready for a MASSIVE entry, are you sitting comfortably?!

Since you last heard from me we have been to Fiji and are now in New Zealand! Fiji was amazing. It was really hot :D

When we arrived we had a small panic as they didnt have our ticket for our tour of the islands but after I had been taken into this office with these 2 guys and they had phoned around people they finally discovered that we were booked on it still but they just hadnt got our tickets! While waiting for our pick to the hostel i discovered my stupid phone didnt work as we were in fiji so i was a bit annoyed :( We headed to our hostel/hotel, where there was a little confusion with our room as we were sure the lady had said room 6 but then our key didnt work and after many returns to the reception we discovered that we were actually in room 3! So finally in our room we decided to go up the road to the 'town' to get some food and money and then returned for a quick dip in pool :)

Later we went out and played on the swings and stuff at the back of the hostel and got eaten alive by mosquitos :( we then went on the net for a bit and then returned to our room, chatted to our room mates and repacked all our stuff as we were able to leave our winter clothes at the hostel for the week while we did our island tour.

The next day we wokr up quite early adn waited to be picked up by the bus which took us to the marina then we jumped on a big yellow catamaran and endured a 4 and a half hour boat trip up to our first resort, Coral View. It wasnt that rough but by the end of journey I was feeling positively ill and apparently had gone a very pale white :s

We were greated with some very sweet ice coffee and lunch before being shown to our accommodation, a small hut with a double bed and 2 single beds and a bathroom where the door didnt shut and the light was a little dodgy! but it was comfortable enough. I still felt ill so decided to have a little nap but ended up waking up 2hour later at 5! we got up and went for a wonder to the beach round from the resort but it was covered as it was high tide! We had a quick shower and during this time there was a terrential down pour and the light in the bathroom went all together so we ended up showering in the dark! Tehn we went and had a buffet dinner which was traditional Fijian style food. After dinner everyone got up and we learnt the 'bula' dance and then did a massive snake and danced around the resort. We then played the stick game where you had to dance around and pass round a stick and if you had it when the music stopped you were out. After all the games we sat around and chatted :)

The next day we spent the morning reading by the beach and met some guys from brsitol who went to QEH! Then it started raining so we all ran inside and played cards. After lunch we hired Kayaks with sea-through bottoms and kayaked across to a different island, it took us almost a hour but the coral beneath us was amazing and we saw loads of blue star fish and i think i saw a puffer fish! We reached the other island and had the beach to ourselves, we went for a swim and then sat a ate cookies :) Then we headed back to our island. On the way back we played eye spy and some other silly games and didnt really pay much attention to where we were going and then we realised we werent entirely sure which island was ours! It was only when i spotted the phone mast on the hill that we realised that was our island and that we had been paddling in the slightly wrong direction! Soon we were back on track and got back to our resort in time for a shower. In the evening we played some more silly games after dinner, but had a slightly earlier night.

In the night it rained really heavily and a puddle formed inside our room but the door where my bag was and my bag soaked up all the water so half my stuff was wet or a bit damp including my passport :s so was not that happy when i woke up to discover that. We had breakfast and checked out then just sat around reading. After lunch we got on the boat and headed to our next resort. Korovu

It seemed like a nicer resort as there was a swimming pool and a deck where we could sit out and have our meals. We went for a swim and then played cards with a group of girls who had also been at Coral View. Then we got ready for dinner. After dinner we learnt a different version of the Bula dance and played a different version of the stick game where the guys and girls were paired up. I got down to the final 3 couples but then unfortunately we were knocked out. After dinner we sat around and played psychatrist before finally heading to bed. When we got to our hut we discovered that Timo had already gone to bed and the only way to get the door to close was to lock it from the inside which is what he had done so we were locked out and had to bang on the door to wake him up!

The next day we spent by the pool and as it was Good Firday there was a church service going on so we went to that, it was interesting with lots of singing and music. Then we relaxed by the pol but it was soo hot we had to keep jumping in it ever 5mins to cool off. After lunch most of our friends left as they were on a differnet pass so we sat in the shade and played cards. In the evening it rained really heavily for a few hours. So we had to have dinner inside. Then the rain stopped after dinner and the 'Bula Boys' put on a show and did a fire dance which was pretty cool. We had an early night but where no-longer in our little hut of 4, we had to move to teh big dorm of 30! but it wasnt too bad.

In the morning we checked out and waited for the boat to come. While waiting one of the guys who worked there made us braclets out of coconuts, tho they are slightly big, they are very cool :) He also showed us how to weave a bag out of palm leaf and with some help i made my own! :) Then we got on the boat to South Sea Island. When we got there we watched the sunset adn then went in the pool which was salt water :s Then had dinner. After dinner we did some crab racing and played the orange game where you have to pass the orange under your chin and the card game where you have to pass the card by sucking it. It was very funny adn I was rubbish at both! We then sat around and played a few card games and then went and lay on the beach adn watched the stars for an hour our 2.

The next day we went snorkling and saw loads of fish we also went in this boat thing where you sit below the water in like a bubble so you can see all the croal and fish below, it was pretty cool. Then at 5 we got the big boat back to the main island. Got to our hostel, washed our stuff and re-packed.

I woke up at 5 on Mon as I was very excited about going to New Zealand and seeing Tom :D I didnt go back to sleep but I managed to update my diary and read my book til almost 9 then we finished packing and then went and got a chocolate milkshake for breakfast :) a short taxi journey to the airport :) then we sat in departures for a while playing cards and then we saw the guys from QEH as they were on our flight adn we chatted to them for a bit.

3hours later and we were landing in Auckland, NZ at this point I was very excited tho ever so slightly nervous! We got through immigration and customs quickly and grabbed our bags. We walked out into the departures lounge, it was full of people everywhere, luckily Mak spotted the guys and then I saw them :D It was so nice to see them again (especially Tom) and it was lovely to be in his arms again (sorry for the soppy-ness, but its true!) We went to the car and then stopped at a supermarket to grab some food. Then it was a short drive to the hostel they had booked us in. When we arrived we discoverd 55easter eggs sitting on a table in our room! We sat around chatting, then went on teh net and booked our next night's accommodation. Then the other went adn cooked dinner while Tom and I got the chance to catch up and sat outside chatting. After dinner we went to bed as it was getting quite late and we had an early start in the morning.

We had to get up just after 6 as Tom and Will were dropping us at the Kiwi Exp office so we could get up to the Bay of Islands. We arrived up there and checked in to our hostel where we had a chalet for the 6 of us :) The guys arrived a bout an hour or so later. Then we got the ferry over to Russel and went to the pub. On the way back we saw a really cool sunset. Then we quickly dashed to the supermarket and grabbed some soup and got back and cooked it really quickly and ate it quickly as we were heading to pub quiz. The Quiz was good we were 2nd at one point but then ended up losing :( then we headed back to the chalet and went to bed.

We got up at 9 and then went to the Marina and got the Excitor boat for a hour adn half tour of the bay of islands. And got to see the 'Hole in the Rock' Then we left our big bags at the hostel and headed up towards 90mile beach. We stopped adn had a picnic on the beach and then found a holiday park where we got 2 cabins. Then we drove to 90mile beach where the guys played footbal and Mak and I played bat adn ball. Then Tom and I walked up the sand dunes where we got a great view along the beach. Then we took it in turns to drive along the beach, which was really fun but it was weird driving an automatic car and also you could feel it slipping a bit. We then went back to the holiday Park and cooked dinner and then played cards for a bit.

The next day we headed to the top of NZ (cape reinga) where we walked to the lighthouse adn up a big hill and you could see where 2 of the seas meet (but i cant remember the names atm!) Then we went to the nearby sand dunes and went sand boarding down tehm, they were massive! but it was really fun and I surfed down one of the smaller ones :) then we stopped for a very late lunch (4pm) and then went to a beach where the sand was extremely soft adn white. We tried to find accommodation further south but couldnt so ended up back in the holiday park and went out for dinner.

The next day was will's birthaday. We headed back to Bay of islands so Mak and I could get the bus back to Auckland. We stopped at a waterfall on teh way back which was cool then we hopped on the bus. Once in Auckland we checked in and the guys went to a rugby game while we went to get some food. They came back about 9.45 and we checked them in the then we all went to teh bar at the hostel and stayed ther til about 1.30 the others went back and then Tom and I had one last drink before heading back to our room. At 4am the fire alarm went off :( but and then after finally getting back to sleep we had to get up a few hours later adn get on teh bus to Mercury Bay. The guys followed the bus adn we went to Mount Eden and got a great view across Auckland. Then we got off in a little town before Mercury bay as it was the only place the guys could get accommodation. We checked in then went to Cathedral Cove which was cool but was a 45min walk each way and my flip flops broke about 10mins into the walk so i had to walk barefooted! Then we went to Hot water beach where you could burry your toes in teh sand and the water got so hot it burnt your feet if you left them there too long! Thenfor our final night with the guys we went out for dinner :)
