OK, so I missed an N out of afternoon, Not bad after six pints of Abbots, and my spelling's still better that yours. And I can do capital letters.

G'day,
Been to the Lallie after Megan Morwood's christening. Meant to leave after an hour or so - but you know how it goes at Arthur's, time seems to have no relevance. An afteroon of Michael playing the piano and several pints of Abbots. Sandra says when you get to Christchurch you've got to go the pub in the middle of the road 'cos it's run by Welsh people - although I'd imagine that Welsh people might be the last kind of folks you'd want to meet half way across the world. I've given Dylan your website details - he reckons you've missed some top gigs.

Just read your diary entry of 12th September. Must have been a bit of a shock to the system, all that extreme poverty. You're a better person than me, coping with it all! Glad you missed all that fuss in Thailand with the coup.
Take care, love from all in Rimpton.

We found your account in the last postcard very moving. One can't really understand these things without being there, but I could tell that you were blown away by the experience.
I notice that the website has changed - we can get some neat satellite pictures as well as the map. Good stuff.
Take care, love, the wrinklies

Hi Dave, Chris here.
In Kyoto at the moment and I've got temple fatigue. Hope u enjoyed your luxury hotel & ur staying away from those ladyboys!
Sapporo was a big, fat waste of time although i did get to stay in a Capsule hotel - so i can tick that off the list. Climbed Mt. Fuji a couple of days after going to Sapporo, it was an absolute nightmare. I arrived at the train station too late to get a bus up to the 5th station, so after randomly meeting an Ozzy girl, we decided it would be a good idea to walk from the 1st station... Mistake. We started at 9pm and didn't make it back to the train station until 7pm the following day! Made it to the top, but we were too knackered to care.
Went to Shikoku and Hiroshima after that. Hiroshima's a very pleasant city although not a lot to see apart from the A-Dome. Had a couple of good nights out with a german guy, Jens, in Hiroshima and lost my heart to a Brazilian lass we met in a bar, who later turned out to be a stripper!!! (probably - she gave us her work address which was a 5000Yen an hour bar, complete with a big, black 70's pimp stood outside! oh well!) Finally, i find myself in Kyoto which is too big by far - i'm fed up of cycling for half an hour on my minature pink woman's rental bike (i look so cool) just to get anywhere. Is there anywhere u recommend here? i've been to the gold and silver temples, imperial gardens and i'm going to go to Himeji castle instead of Kyoto castle tmoro. Let us know how Thailand goes - u need to put a few more postcards on ur site!
Ciao, enjoy yourself.

Congratulations!!! You are the lucky recipient of the first ever messange sent by me to anyone anywhere. Loved the photos, especially your hostel (the pagoda), but can't think of anything worse than being hassled to buy things you don't want - tried it once in Morocco, didn't like it! All are well in Rimpton, except Peter- he's in Mexico, but I assume he's O.K!Weather balmy - cider well chilled; Paradise, except that I'm back to school tomorrow. Grandma and Grandpa have advised me not to work too hard - good advice which I shall probably follow! Take care - have fun.
love from all at Barton Farm.
