Bula! from Fiji.

Hope everyone is well, I am! Have been here for maybe 10 days or something, im not really sure to be honest. Im not wearing a watch and I truely have no clue what day it is. Everything here runs on Fiji time anyway so you just have to go with the flow.

Fiji is a great place, Ive been out to stay on some of the Yassawa Islands and even though accomodation is very basic (buckets of cold water for showers etc) I have really enjoyed it. Fiji hasnt exactly lived up to the idea of paradise islands etc as the stunning resorts are sometimes 15,000 dollars a night! But playing touch rugby on the beach with the locals while the sun sets is pretty special and i dont think they let you do that in the Shangri-la!

The Fijian people are so nice, you walk along and nearly everyone you see greets you with a hearty BULA! which among otherthings means hello, followed by a huge friendly smile.

Im currently staying at the Nadi Bay Resort which is as close to paradise as i can afford! (money is getting tight now). This afternoon I shall be lying in a hammock underneath a mango tree next to the pool. Ive eaten so many mangos from the tree I think they might start charging me.

Went to the place where they made the blue lagoon film (never heard of it myself) and did snorkelling, which was great but I swallowed about half the ocean, need more practice.

So just gonna recharge the batteries for a couple of days before heading off to LA, thats going to be a huge culture shock but im really looking foward to it.
