Today we went for a trek up Fox Glacier and it was great. One second we were walking through rainforest and the next we were being pressed upon from all sides by blue ice. Fantastic. Thankfully - despite the locals' predictions - it was sunny. (Yay!) A highlight was when we had a little cave to go through. While everyone went feet first I went headfirst. Naturally. In my defense I started off feet first but somehow managed to twist round. Naturally. And naturally I got stuck so Emma and Jenny each had to grab an arm and yank; I went flying down the ice, laughing my head off. A brilliant day all round. It was our weekly eat-out night tonight and we had some discounted meal tickets at the hostel cafe so I got a rather large pizza for $10 (around 4 pounds). Yum. Now I shall perform for all something I excel in. I will spend the rest of the evening lazing about and doing pretty much nothing. Tada! Aren't you proud? Love and ice, Annabel :)
