Fairly eventful first night sleeping in the van set the alarm off twice waking the whole campsite up at 22:30!!!!! I couldn't sleep as the mattress kept splitting in two and moving (not for the right reasons) although Ann says I was snoring. Woke up to rain :-( great pictures of the lake colours changing every minute.
Set off for queenstown in the rain, stopped in Twizel for coffee then at mount difficulty winery for a cheeky tasting of sav Blanc. Watched the bungy jumping off Kawarau bridge just outside queenstown was tempted but didn't have time!!!!! Arrived at campsite nice lunch with glass sav Blanc of course, then up the gondola for magnificent views. Picked up a hitchhiker on the way. Lookout for Shaun!!!!!
