Phil & I decided to "invade Europe again" so I wanted to document the "planning", some six months out.! Why, because I enjoyed the process last time. I thought it would be fun to keep a record of "how the holiday is put together".
It was a fait accompli that we would revisit Panicale, there is something about this place that is good for the soul and we left our hearts there! Another "something old" and a definite "revisit" are Venice and Paris.
Variety though must be the "spice" and "something new" must be included so when research turned up Cunard's Queen Victoria cruise, leaving from our beloved Venice, sailing down west coast Croatia, visiting Greek Islands, Albania and disembarking at Athens it just sounded perfect. Fourteen nights.
Since Phillip has long-service leave accrued, we decided to take ten weeks. Fly out of Sydney 26 September and home 30 November 2017.
