Today was painful. Got up early and went wildlife watching. Saw a small herd of Mule deer, mum, two babies and a couple of teenagers. Had breakfast overlooking a lake and then headed off up Sulphur Mountain in a gondola. Decided to walk back down. The thighs and calves will never be the same again. Arrived at Banff this afternoon. Had a look round the town and the sights and then went to the hot springs. Sat there watching the sunset over the mountains and didn't come away until it was dark. Don't know what the temperature was but this was bed attire last night. All the water and toilet outlets were frozen. Quite an experience really to think we had been sat in an outdoor pool in it all.
