Hey guys!!
First off, it has been a real pleasure for me to read your comments on my blog. It's surprising to see that so many of you are reading and apparently enjoying my stories. I fully expected when I started this that only a handful of people would be reading it, but it's become apparent that there are many of you who are living this adventure vicariously with me and I can't tell you guys how awesome it is to see that. It's a wonderful reminder of how lucky I am to have so many good friends. :))))
So what's the moral of this story, you ask?
Comment and comment often because I'm reading them and it always puts a smile on my face! And uhm if you know anybody who would like to read this blog, send them the link! *shameless plug* lol
Ok and the next thing I want to do is apologize for the horrible spelling and grammar of my last post lol Its not usually great but yestersdays was partcularly bad because I was rushed and didn't have time to proof read at all. I'll go over it later to fix it but I don't know when I'll have time. This tour has been keeping me stupidly busy! Antigua was chill and I had lots of time but now that I'm touring... We've getting up at 6am and going to bed late. Wi-fi has been difficult to come-by. Not to mention the fact that I'm traveling in a group which means my time is often monopolized by the other ppl in the group.
I'm on a bus now (7:30am) heading towards Caye Caulker... another island! This one in Belize. More on that In my next post. For now let's get you all caught-up with Belize and yesterday's (Feb 22) craaaaazy day!!
For those interested in my health... You'll know if you've been following my blog, that I've been sick for the last few days. So I decided yesterday to start taking the anti-bacterial pills (Cipro) that I got from my travel doctor. They should fix 'the issue' but certainly on this day.. i was still running to the bathroom from time to time and things hadn't yet improved and I still didn't have much of an appetite. I hate not being able to eat! I ordered a big American breakfast yesterday with extra bacon! I hate to say it, but I was barely able to eat it = wasted bacon = cardinal sin ;( I hope the pills will clear things up.
After breakfast, at around 9am, three of us agreed to go on a side tour called Mountain Pine Ridge. We had a choice to do several other tours that day. The others in the group decided to do something else. I'd tell you what it was but.. who cares! Our trip was better :P
We got picked up after breakfast at around 9:30am by our guide and headed off. Before we got to where we were heading the driver stopped suddenly and says he needs to release a snake he bought the market!? A bowa constrictor!! So yeah, we got to play with a bowa constrictor! And yes, I touched it. I didn't just touch it, I was actually the one who took it out of the box! It was wicked!! He had tape around his jaw, so I wasn't worried about getting bit.
After that, we headed towards this huge cave. We spent a few hours in there then we headed to a set of rapids. It was beautiful! We swam there for a long while. Got myself a little r&r and a mini-sunburn. Once we were done we had lunch and head towards our last stop... but the dudes truck's axel fell off as we were driving!!
Side note: You need to see the streets in Belize!! They are totally unbelizable!! lol they're not even roads really. They're dirt paths that have been completely decimated by erosion. It's no surprise that the guy's axel broke.
In any case we were stranded with no cell phone signal to call for help. The people I was with seemed a bit concerned but I kept reminding them that it was part of the adventure and just to roll with it. :) I kinda liked the randomness of it all.
Sure enough a vehicle came-by about 20mins later and they were able to call for help. Not too long after we finally made it to our final destination! A place called "5 Sister Falls".
This place was so gorgeous that I'm sure it could be used for a Tarzan movie where he and Jane would fall in love under a water fall or something! Perfect for a stop during a honeymoon. Make a mental note you lovers! Cayo, Belize and the 5 sister falls.
After the falls we headed home and had supper. I forced myself to eat half a plate of spaghetti and then we had a few drinks and then headed for bed.
Of course like every other expedition, pictures are included under the photos section of this blog. Check 'em out! Although, it kinda sucks cuz I'm always the one behind the camera... butt i swear, I did grab and hold the snake and I did jump off the cliff as you see others doing. I didn't hold back folks! I was there and I did it all!!
Till another day. I miss you guys and thanks again for reading my stories :)

Love how you rode that wave... random is always fun, and 99% of the time, it all ends at home, safe and sound, with a great story to tell! :) Definitely living vicariously through you - those Belize waters are gorgeous!
