Hello Everyone!
We are in Noosa just now but back to Hamilton Island. The first day we arrived we got our golf buggy and explored the island - all three miles of it! We seen massive lizards all over the place which was strange... went to the driving range and hit a few balls about the place... even got a ping from a couple of them! We went to the resort pool just in time for happy hour!!! HAd a few cocktails and then headed out for a meal at a fish restaurant. Stuart had calimari and then a seafood rissotto - Wendy had cesear salad and salmon for main course and we had a couple of sides to share of course!
The second day we went and had breakfast with the Koalas and had our photo's taken cuddling them! Very woolie - pretty cool. We then went for a walk - WENDY's IDEA!! Within about 100yards Wendy was nearly greeting... it was up very steep hills right enough! We reached coral cove - a really nice beach, with no one on it! We stayed for a while but we were sweating from the walk we had to head back... the walk home was a hundred times worse than the walk there! After a shower we went to the pool and layed there all afternoon... there was very little sun about but it was still hot and humid... Stuart ended up pretty burnt... Of course a couple of happy hour cocktails sorted that out. We then headed home and opened the drink and got ready to go out for a pizza... We decided to take the buggy down and leave it at the Marina... Wendy phoned her mam and we had a pizza... about 1 hour later we were heading for our buggy and it had GONE!!! - Of course we were pretty tipsy and probably shouldn't have been looking to drive the buggy but with a max speed not much more than walking speed nothing too dangerous could happen... However we walked up and down and up and down looking for the blue buggy with yamaha on the side with 030 on the reg plate... could we find it - NOWHERE... Eventually we gave up and started heading home, discussing the events on the way... Wendy constantly crying on about the hills and the walking and that she was tired!!! Eventually a kind couple asked if we wanted to hop on their golf buggy and they dropped us right at the door. So - in the morning Stuart went a walk down to the Marina incase we had just been too drunk to see the buggy and maybe it would be there... of course it wasn't!!! To cut a long story short - we reported it missing and the island security delivered it back to us a few hours later... some family's key for their buggy worked on our buggy and they thought our buggy was theirs! So in the end we got our buggy back and Wendy was very happy! The rest of that day we just went to the pool and then out for the sunset at a certain point on the island where a bar was set up every night at 5... It was a bit like a ride out stop without the horses... Then we went out for something to eat and a couple of drinks...
Flew to Brisbane today and drove to Noosa - the flight was like a bloody white nuckle ride but we got here in the end... staying in a very nice apartment for the night and then up to Hervey Bay in the morning...
Struggling to put the photo's on but will keep trying..
