G'day mates...

Last night we went to the roof and had a barbie for our tea... Salmon and all the trimmings... Nae lights but we managed!!! Early night as the reef was calling us at 7.30am the next morning!

So the reef!

We boarded the ocean freedom and set sail with only 15 other passengers aboard! First stop?-?-? THE MIDDLE OF THE BLOODY OCEAN!!!!

Oh my god!!!!!!!

Dumped on a sand island in high tide and told to get ourselves back to the ship a good 200m atleast away. Of course Wendy put her foot firmly in the sand and said I need a boat... there aint no way your getting me in there!!! So Wendy enjoyed a cruise on a nice speed boat back to ship... of course all was not lost when the driver promptly pushed her over board 10m from the main ship and shouted - - - SWIM!!!! She swam like she had never swam before with 'I DONT LIKE WATER!' screaming in Nemo's ear!!!

Stuart successfully managed to snorkel his way back aboard - a little petrified but all in tact.. the sights were okay here but to be honest my main focus was making it on board that boat! THE MIDDLE AND I MEAN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN!! - NO LAND - NO WHERE - LOST!

So we settled down and had some lunch! Yum! and then it was onto advernture number two...people were throwing themselves overboard left right and centre...Wendy was talking quietly to the captain saying - 'Can I perhaps prepare the tea for afterwords? I really dinnae like water yeah ken!' The captian thinking into himself -'Well what the bloody hell are you doing in the middle of the bloody ocean then! - Wendy retired to top deck for sun and her book. Stuart undeterred jumped off the back and snorkelled away - WHAT A SIGHT - UNBELEIVABLE... Really mean that.. wee fish all around you... bright colours and the coral was amazing... Finally managed to get Wendy in the Ocean - A big triumph - the whole boat cheering as she slipped into the water with her suit and body armour on... She seen a few fish and got out.. Stuart snorkelled for ages and took underwater snaps of all the fish...

A GREAT DAY HAD BY ALL... and a wee bit of sunburn...
