We arrive in Buenos Aires bleary eyed from another overnight bus journey to discover that the first two hostels we fancied were full. Fortunately the third had a free double room and actually looked nicer than the other two anyway! Our "double" room actually turned out to have a triple bunk bed as well as a double bed, which was rather strange, but we werent complaining. Puerto Madryn 23rd June - 26th June 2006 The overnight bus service from Bariloche to Puerto Madryn is excellent. 13hrs go by and we get a small amount of sleep as well as loads of food and drink. We arrive in a dark, damp and cold Puerto Mardyn at 7.00am and after wandering the streets for what seems like hours we book into the El Gualicho hostel. Unfortatunately the first hostel we try to go to is closed for redecoration (at least thats what we think the guy said!). But, fortunately, or second choice turns out to be great. We arrive in San Martin and, youve guessed it, it is raining! Fortunately not too hard, so we decide to walk from the bus station to the hotel we have picked out. Unfortunately the one we were after looked decidedly shut, so we decided to splurge on the next nearest one. Pucon, Chile June 8th to 11th 2006 Well it would appear that our prayers have been answered for now at least as the rain is holding off. We get the bus from Panguipulli at about 10am and the sun is poking his cheeky little head out of the clouds.
