Bangkok again, but hey no hospital visits this time!
After the locals once again trying to rip us off in a taxi (hah I don't think so) we stayed in the centre this time.
We met a friend of mine from when I was little (we haven;t spoken in years) and her travelling friend for tea and drinks. It was a great night, and we ended up in Patpong dancing to a band (and at times getting on stage and singing with them)! Very funny story to tell about the end of the night but may save that for when we're home.
The next day is a slight blur, I got up pretty late. Ruth is often up early, eugh! haha, but she usually goes to bed before me. InThailand a lot of people get clothing made, there are lots of Indian tailors here. So we thought, ooh a suit for job interviews, so we went for it and picked our material, design and got measured!
That evening I went to get my hair done and went for a beer with the Irish girls from Saigon! Its important to take advantage of the prices in Thailand!
The next day we did an organised day trip to The Bridge On The River Kwai and The Tiger Temple. I had promised Mum I wouldn't go because its a bit dodgy, but we couldn't get a tour just to The River Kwai. Anyway we had a fantastic day, slight overdose on war museums and The story of the bridge and The death Railway which we rode on was very sad, but The Tiger Temple was fantastic - check out our pics. We think they big tigers were drugged though!! Was a Valentine's Day to remember.
That evening we met Di and Lou for some more drinks and the following day made plans to head up to the North of Thailand to Chang Mai when we got distracted by an overnight bus poster to Laos. We really wanted to go and thought what the heck and booked it. Who can resist a new country and another stamp in the passport....even if it is for a few days....
