Our last stop in SE Asia was Singapore and the 8th country in our travels. Yes Singapore is it's own country as a city state. The island is only 693 square km's yet it is the most modern city in SE Asia. We arrived in Singapore on the most comfortable public bus we had ever been on. As it was the last day of our tour we said goodbye to our group and headed off to explore the city. We walked the city core, to see lots of new and elaborate buildings. The most elaborate was the new mall, casino, hotel and business center. At the top of the building there was a structure that looked like a cruise ship. There is a lot of green space in Singapore despite it being such a modern city, even some of the buildings have forests on the roof. In the evening we decided to check out the zoo's night safari. The zoo is set in a large area of rainforest where all the animals can be seen without fences in the way. We got to see some of the nocturnal animals that we probably wouldn't see in the daylight.

Due to our short time in Singapore we didn't get a chance to see much else.

We then caught our flight to UAE to see our friend Erin.
