Flew down to Phuket from bangkok after a 12 hr bus journey from chiang mai and who said all this travelling was fun? Arrived early doors and went about trying to get to kata beach on the west coast, tried hard to get a hostel but only able to find a 5 star hotel including breakfast oops, 1000 bat a night for both of us (about 14 pound) though so only for one night. ;ovely beach and managed to get burnt pretty qiuckly although fi the lizars was able to lie out for hours and only go darker brown. Second night we checked into a cheaper place and had a lovely bungalow to live in for a few days. Hit by a huge thunder storm on the third day but close to home so no biggy and class to watch from our wooden hut. We went into the town and it was the middle of vegitarian festivle whcih was like chritmas to them for some reason but really enjoyed it Think this is a posh island though so heading of to phi phi after the football game of course.
