Just a quick one today after my marathon blog sessoin the other day!! Mamallapuram is pretty boring not much to do at all, everything closes by 10pm so we've been good and had many early nights. Having now booked our flights to Thailand on 30th November. We decided we still want to get to the North of India to see Delhi, the Taj Mahl and Ganges. Periyer is one of the largest and most visited reserves in India high up in the tea and cardamom hills. With only 2 days and 2 nights here we booked up for a days trek in the reserve which started with a painful and chilly 5.20am start. Since we last blogged we've been very busy catching the sights and using numerous modes of transport aound south India, seeing states Karanata, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
