Hi In Christchurch about to quit this crazy scene for a new funny accent in Australia. Flying to sydney today. Spent 3 weeks in the south island, admiring the amazing scenery and remarkably dry but bloody cold weather. Did some snowboarding down in Queenstown which was good fun once we got used to the fact that it was mostly one lift and a couple of runs. Had a little board park though so we got to fling ourselves about without any serious injuries!! Took a boat Cruise down Milford sound which was just amazing. And a less sedate jet boat ride on the Shotover river in Queenstown. Got a flat tire in the middle of the mountains and then a speeding ticket on the longest quietest road in New Zealand. The only car we saw for 60 miles was the cop who pulled us over (for doing 60mph for gods sake!!!!). Fended off the abuse from the locals about the rugby and looking forward to Oz where hopefully our cricketers will give us something to feel better about. Keep the messages coming. Anne and Steve xxx
