We left Piura pretty early and took another bus down to Chiclayo which is Peru's 4th largest city, again we travelled with Lars, Louise and Guy. We didn't do a great deal on arriving other than wander round the town during the day. We did however find a great steak house in the evening for dinner, following the Chinese the night before the eating options in Peru seem to be surprisingly good.

On Wednesday we headed 30km north of Chiclayo to visit Tucume which is a site which contains several Adobe pyramids. These were pyraminds that were built by the Lambayeque culture in around 700ad. From the road it doesn't look more than a few dusty hills but there is a viewpoint which we climbed up to which provides a view of the whole complex. After these exertions we jumped on a tuk-tuk back into the local town for almuerzo and cards before travelling back to the steak house in Chiclayo for our farewell meal with Guy. While we're travelling with Lars and Louise to Trujillo tomorrow Guy is heading straight down to Lima. We've been travelling together for about two and a half weeks, a really funny and interesting guy.
