Bit of an early update this one - after the last one - but I've gotta tell you this. Three of our group went sky diving today and I went as a spectator and thought I would watch them from the ground and that - but whoah no, I managed to get in the plane - a Cessna 182. The smallest flying metal thing with wings I have ever seen with no doors!! Now then, I'm not the best with heights and flying, so to be sat on the arse of the plane strapped to the pilot's seatbelt holding on for dear life as the wind was blowing my face off wasn't the best feeling as we set off on a bumpy windy take off. I was sweating like a pregnant nun .. scrap that, I was sweating like Alex having stitches in a Zambian hospital! I was s***ting it, but when we got to about 4,000 feet we flew over the Victoria Falls, it really was amazing to see it from the air, to see the river and to see the gorges that we went rafting in yesterday. After we flew round it a few times we flew to 10,000 feet where the girl that I was flying with (an aussie that was in the same taxi as us) strapped herself to the bloke with the parachute and jumped! Then there was me and the old drunken retired pilot who looked like he'd had enough! I couldn't wait to get down, and because there was no-one sat at the side of me - the wind really hit me and I had to hold on tighter it was really scary! But anyway - I landed safely and I've decided I'm gonna do it in Namibia and Alex said she wants to do it too, I'll make sure she's strapped in!
Well that's it, just thought I'd update you and let you know that I did actually fly over the falls and I've got some photos too, so hopefully in Cape Town I'll be able to upload them. Bye for now, thanks for staying in touch!
