Now I knew there was something I had to tell you . . . what was it . . . Oh yes I'M IN AUSTRAAAALIAAAAA!!!!!!!!! Woohoo! 'G'Day mate!' 'Get in the back of the yute!' 'Throw another shrimp on the barbi!' and 'Rack off!' Can't think of anymore - but they'll come to me. Aye we made it to Perth yesterday after a busy day of flying and hanging around airports to be greeted with CLOUDS. Not what we expected to see, but nevermind I'm sure it'll change. Oh and this hostel we're in . . . Well . . . we were trying to sleep last night, and our dorm we're in is right next to this communal court yard thing - and all night we had a group of Chinese lads playing a guitar and singing James f***ing Blunt. Now, when you've been up a good few hours hanging about airports and sat watching s***e films on a plane, get to your s***e hostel and all you wanna do is sleep - YOU DON'T NEED JAMES BLUNT SINGING AT YOUR BEDSIDE!
But, anyway we got a little sleep and we went to King's Park today. It's a nice park by the Swan River where you can see great views of the city. The city itself is really nice, and you don't expect that of a city. But the streets are clean, the parks were gorgeous, the people are really friendly - it's just a nice place to be. So when the sun comes out we're gonna get down the beach and chill, we're really looking forward to that!
And on Saturday I'm leaving Alex for a week or two and going solo! Alex is staying with friends we know in Melbourne. But I've booked myself on an outback tour to Alice Springs and Ularu! Can't wait! It takes in all the gold mining areas, Ayers Rock, the Pinnacles, real Aboriginal country. I stay in Alice Springs for two nights (I think) then I join another two day tour from there down to Adelaide and that takes in an underground town???!!! Don't know much about that but can't wait to tell you all about it! Then I catch a train for the day that takes me to Melbourne, I can just sit back and watch the world go by. I'll then meet up with Alex in Melbourne where we'll get our campervan!
I knew what I meant to tell you, I read me last entry and it sounded like we did nothing in Cape Town - I forgot to mention the wine tour. We didn't just stay in every day trying to avoid being mugged! We went on a tour of the winelands and Stelanbosch with our friends Laura and Sabrina. The vineyards were beautiful, the landscape was too - we went to four vineyards in the valley and tried loads of different wines - but I'm not a wine drinker, I just tagged along. It was good seeing the workings of a vineyard though and the setting. We also tasted different cheeses and some chocolate - so it was nice - a good day.
Anyway, I'm gonna go now, see if James is outside our dorm again! We're gonna hopefully hire a car tomorrow and drive down the coast to meet up with one of our friends from the Africa tour, that'll be good! Right then, see you, stay in touch.
Oh, sorry, I've got to tell you this . . . Right then, we were walking down the street last night trying to find a nice restaurant when out of nowhere two scruffy pissed up aboriginal girls came up to us and one tried to force a rubber dildo in Alex's face!!! She was taken by surprise and didn't know what it was! When I got back up from the floor laughing and told her what it was - she chased after them shouting 'giz it ere!!!' no I'm only kidding - her and tribes don't mix - was well funny though!
