After spending a few days in Moscow, I feel that it was long enough! The people are not really friendly. I think it's because the place is a communist country therefore people arn't used to going out of their way to make things better. Everyone gets the same no matter what (despite people being more even than others), therfore why should people work harder than others if they don't get paid for it. It's a weird place! Communism sound perfect in theory, but in my opinion it does not work.
We got our train at 9pm...the platform was filled with Mongolian families. We got our two compartments (each with four beds in it) and started on the vodka (after all; the journey across the trans siberian is called a vodka train).
I think I single handedly managed to piss off everyone on our carridge. Apparently my voice is too loud as I kept shouting and I got named 'The drink games nazi' as I was enforcing loads of drinking rules and I had to keep making people down their drinks. However people were trying to sleep along the carridge and as usual I get the blame for the noise level. I also had a little tiff with this girl called Faina...but she was rude!
This Mongolian guy called Ghana came by our carridge at approx 5am and asked for a lighter so we kidnapped him and inundated him with Vodka...it was so funny. He got absolutely wrecked and we saw him the next day and he said we got him in trouble with his sister for coming back wrecked. We didn't see him again after that.
