Arrived in Chongqin...its very hazy. You cant see ery far into the distance, almoist like fog.

Went to a hotel...met a guy who has been cycling around Chiona for 2 years. Carlos..taught me to how save money whilst on the road. Yuo dont need to buy bottled water all the time...boil it and its fine. You should eat street food as its extremely cheap and you know exactly what you are eating as oppsed to a resturant and you dont know what you are ordering and cant see how the food is prepared.

The shower look very grotty. It was right next to that thing what the chinease call a toilet. A hole in the ground. Ive been avoiding them like the plauge. Basically you have to squat in order to go a toilet. It was my first experince today. I had to strip naked as i didnt know what to do...no one treaches you these things!!

anyway.. i was going to pass on taking a shower as it looked nast..but Carlos said you should always take a shower when the opportunity is there...you dont know when the next one will be. I took his advicxe a nd it was the best shower ever. The water was hot and i felt alot more fresh after it.

I leave tomorw evening for the four day boat trip to visit the great dam. i have all day to explore Chongqin.
