Hello and xin chao!

Yes, I have finally got the chance to write on the blog (don't tell Steve!) .

Well since we last wrote we visited a wonderful elephant rescue centre in the northern mountains of Thailand, saw some Muay Thai boxing and lady boy caberet and travelled by two more flights to Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC) or Saigon has been a short but enjoyable stay...the motorbikes are INSANE!! We had read there were a lot but seriously you cannot move without falling over/getting hit by a motorbike in this place! Crossing the road has caused me most distress as basically you walk through a steady stream of traffic and hope for the best.

We saw a bit of the history of the country today touring the war museum, HCMC museum and Reunification palace...interesting stuff. Got to say the Vietnamese are a tough lot. Just ate the best pho noodles in Vietnam (they claim- I can't argue!) and got to speak some Japanese to some fellow guests in our hotel (yatta!!). Am going to upload some photos (at last) and have an early night now as we are getting the bus into Cambodia tomorrow.

Very excited about future travels and having a great time (despite Stephens hatred of Bangkok!)
