Having met Nick at Sydney Airport we had a few hours wait to catch our flight to Melbourne, by the time we had arrived at the hotel Nick had been travelling 49 hours and we had been travelling 24. Rather than go to bed we went to the local pub to celebrate. The next morning Jo felt rather worse for wear, she blamed the Black Sambuca, we thought it was more to do with the 6 glasses of wine she had drunk previously. Sunday the tempretures soared to a mighty 43 degrees so we spent the day milling around shopping and a brief visit to the Immigration Museum. Monday we took a tour around the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground for the uneducated) so we could see where our boys will retain the Ashes (you have to look on the bright side). We then went up one of the skyscapers to a viewing deck so we could get a birds eye view of the city. That evening we went to a Vietnamese restaurant so Nick could try some of the nice food we had had on our journey. On our final day in Melbourne we went to St Kilda home of the famous 'Luna Park' (that was about as close to Neighbours as we wanted to come) but it was a bit too windy to spend all day on the beach so when we were back in the city we chose to finish the our city tour off in style with a visit to 'Draculas' cabaret. What a night, we ate drank and were merry.
